Diversity in Classical Music Symposium 2024

March 8th, 2024 from 9AM to 5:15PM, with a 7:30PM evening concert. With NHMTA Sponsorship, in collaboration with Keene State College’s Redfern Arts Center and Music Department, this event is FREE to NHMTA members and focuses on the music of African-American and Female composers through lecture recitals, master classes, seminars, and performances. The Symposium includes:

  • An Evening Gala Performance (7:30pm) with Dr. Christina Wright-Ivanova, Apple Hill String Quartet, Seelan Manickam, Amadi Azikiwe, Cailin Marcel Manson and more guest artists!

Sunday, October 22 2023 – NHMTA Professional Enhancement Day @ the Redfern Arts Center, Keene State College from 9am to 4:30pm

This special event includes a lecture and class by renowned pianist and pedagogue, Virginia Eskin, and a cello/piano collaborative concert by pianist Dr. Christina Wright-Ivanova, NHMTA’s current President, and Boston-based cellist Dr. Aron Zelkowicz. Thank you to MTNA for a Community Engagement Grant for this event.
